Counseling and Career Awareness

Making sound career decisions requires knowledge of both yourself and the world of work.
We can help you explore both.

Career Counseling is available from a corporate liaison in the Department of Career Services.

Corporate Liaisons:

develop employment opportunities for current students and graduates;
network with employers to stay current on trends and needs in business and industry.

Your corporate liaison can help you explore the career possibilities in your field of study, or refer you to someone else if you’re considering other options.

Career Awareness Programs provide an opportunity to explore the many career possibilities available through TCI’s academic programs.

Many other career information resources are available to you at TCI.

A career resource library is available in the Department of Career Services.
Books on careers and career decision making are available in the College Library.
Faculty members are a great resource. They have in-depth knowledge of the careers in their field of study, and many have significant experience in business and industry and can provide an “insider’s view” of a particular career.
Your academic advisor can answer many questions, and provide an understanding of how your academic studies relate to your future career.
Counselors in the Office of Student Affairs can be seen on a walk-in basis and can provide you with the direction you need.
